Photography is something I love to do in my free time—it’s a chance to slow down and notice the little things. I’m drawn to small, interesting details and like to isolate them by getting my lens up close, and letting them take center stage. Playing with color is a big part of my process, using it to create images that feel more personal and expressive. Sometimes, though, I’ll intentionally leave my subject out of focus. It’s a way of leaning into a more impressionistic style—where clarity gives way to feeling. I’m not too concerned with capturing reality as it is; what matters most to me is how an image makes me feel. In my personal photography, I like to isolate small, compelling subjects while exploring the interplay between clarity and abstraction. My images often leave parts of the subject intentionally soft or out of focus, inviting the viewer to experience the scene as a feeling rather than a literal representation. This approach—what I think of as impressionist photography—reflects my belief that the beauty of a moment often lies in what is suggested, not just in what is seen. Through a thoughtful use of color, light, and depth, I create images that blur the line between reality and art. Whether it’s the sharp edge of a crimson leaf set against a hazy backdrop or the rhythm of repeated shapes softened by gentle focus, each photo aims to resonate on an emotional level. The goal is not perfection but connection—photographs that feel like fleeting memories, vivid yet dreamlike, asking the viewer to pause and find meaning in the small, often overlooked details.
